Squash Your Honey’s Doubts

“Do you still love me?”
“Yes, of course I still love you.  Stop being silly.”
“Are you sure you still love me?”

Well, if you haven’t heard this variation, you’ve probably heard another.  It’s the conversation that happens between couples at least once a year.  Oh okay…more like once a month, right?  Alright, alright…once a week.  Yeah, we’ve been there!  Well, however many times you’ve already heard it…now is the time to start hearing it less!

Let him know exactly what you love about him and you’ll wash his doubts away!

According to a research study in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, pinpointing specific qualities you value about your partner can keep your partner from doubting your love.

Express your love and appreciation through specific praise, and you’ll help your partner combat those feelings of self-doubt.  Look for particular instances when your partner makes you smile and thank him!  If he hands you the remote control, tell him how thoughtful he is.  Thank him for being so tolerant and accepting of that mound of clothing in your closet.  The next time he’s waiting on you to finish getting ready, let him know you appreciate his patience.  Stay on top of the little reminders of your love for him, and you’ll be rewarded with a more confident and secure relationship!

Leaving your ears free to hear some peace and quiet for a change.
