Is Your Job Unhealthy?

We’ve all experienced an off day at work…when things just don’t seem to going quite right.  Well thankfully, it only happens every now and then…or does it?   Do you feel as if every workday is straining your body and mind?  That your job is starting to frustrate and weaken your spirit?  Well, you may be interested to know that what happens at work may have a negative effect on your health.

According to the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, individuals with high job strain and job insecurity report a high level of mental and physical problems.

Let’s face it…our jobs are quickly becoming our lives (in more ways than one).  Not only do we spend so much of our waking hours at work, but also, our work environment plays a large role in determining our mental and physical health!  The demands that we face at work, the lack of control we sometimes feel, and the fear of losing our jobs…these job pressures could be hurting your health.

What you do from 9 to 5 impacts your happiness, your outlook on life, and your vitality.  So be sure that your job is something that fills you with passion and gives you energy…because if it doesn’t, it could be sucking your life’s energy away!
